3.3.6 Update wipes FTP password

    Hi,

    I noticed that after upgrading to BackWPup 3.3.6 (from 3.3.4) the FTP password gets wiped out and needs to be entered again manually.

    This seems to be a bug as it happened on all sites where I have BackWPup installed.

    Hi Christina,

    This happened both on PHP 5.5 (5.5.38) and PHP 7 (7.0.15)

    Thanks a lot for your help. Our developer is working on the fix. It would be great to have some tester before releasing. If you want to test please contact us via the contact form on backwpup.com and use as subject “Betatest”. You can write in English or German. We will provide you with the bugfix as soon as we have one.

    Sorry for the delay in answering, I was away for a few days.

    I have filled the contact form as requested.

    I was also wondering if – in the meantime – you guys have found out what the problem was, since it has been a few days and this seems to be a quite widespread issue.

    Hi lucspe,

    thanks for applying as betatester. We have a solution working for us and for some users who tested. We are just doing some more betatests before releasing.
