2nd website

  • Hi
    I already have a website, but now want to create a second one. I have the name, but haven’t bought the hosting yet.

    My first site was designed by a friend and I have no idea how he got it started. Do I have to work on the two sites as two different projects – they do not have anything in common? If so, can I start working on it before buying the hosting? I most probably have more questions, but for now, I think if you can explain this to me, you will be my hero. Thanks.

  • You can have as many web sites as you like, and they don’t have to have anything in common. They can be on the same server, or on separate servers, and they can have different names/addresses.

    It’s like having a more than one house. These can be completely separate from eachother, individual, and sharing nothing at all. OR they could be two houses at the same address if you want to, they could be sharing a kitchen, etc.

    It’s a very broad question, but in essence, you can have a second web site that has absolutely nothing to do with the first one, if you want.
