2nd Site with Multiple Sub Domains

  • I’m looking to created a 2nd related site but would like the installations to be streamlined. I would also like the 2nd site to have its own subdomains.

    So,

    first.com – main site (already up)

    second.com – second site tied to first.com’s installation
    a.second.com
    b.second.com
    c.second.com

    From what I understand so far, this might not be possible, since it’s behaving like an MU within an MU… unless I treat all of them as MU sites off of first.com yes?

    So:

    first.com – main site
    – second.com
    – a.second.com
    – b.second.com
    – c.second.com

    Would this be the right way to go?

    This will be my first MU so I appreciate your patience =)

    Also, are there inherent advantages between folder/subdomain options?
