Hi. i purchased the premium version of this plugin because I really like the features. However, I’m using WordPress Social Login so that my users can authenticate using their social accounts. One thing I’ve noticed that if I login as a social account and then link this back to my existing account in WordPress, the 2FA component is then ignored – i.e, it does not request the two factor code.

To me, this is negating the security. Any thoughts ?

    Thanks

    Hi,

You’d need to take this up with the authors of WordPress Social Login. The way that the login process works is co-operative. Any plugin has the power to declare “yes, that’s enough”, and approve the login, such that other plugins can’t prevent it. As such, if you want WordPress Social Login to ‘play nicely’ with the 2FA plugin, then it needs to be engineered such that its requirements are *necessary* but not *sufficient* for login, rather than being sufficient (perhaps it already has an option – I have no idea, I’ve not tried it).

Thanks David. I’ll ask them – appreciate the rapid response, and thanks for the plugin.
