2FA with wordpress iphone app

    I enabled 2FA and it works well with a web browser. But I cannot use it with the wordpress iphone. My sister is using this to blog and I am looking for more security while allowing her to use the app. I tried an application password but this also failed when I had 2FA enabled.

    I am new to all of this. Any other suggestions? Thanks

    I found a setting under app settings/experimental features. This allows “application Passwords for self-hosted sites.” I have not tried this yet but it seems like a path forward.

    Same here. I also tried using an application password and didn’t have any luck with it.

    Login over APIs (REST and XML-RPC) doesn’t support the second factor so you need to effectively disable the second factor for all those logins with application passwords using the two_factor_user_api_login_enable filter.
