    Hello

I set my 2FA using Okta Verify on the mobile app using the QR Code. I just received a new phone and saw that everything on the Okta app was gone. I can not find the backup codes and therefore don’t have anyway to log back into my blog. Is there anyway wordpress can help me remove the 2FA since I can not (I don’t have anyway of getting into my blog)? I don’t know what to do ??

That’s… scary. How did you add OKTA 2FA to your installation? Did you use this code?

    https://github.com/oktadev/okta-wordpress-sign-in-widget

    Or some other plugin?

    Yeah… super scary.

I added the 2FA through the dashboard of my blog. It provided a QR code and I used Okta verify to screenshot the QR code and enable the 2FA. It worked great for months until I got a new phone and then Okta Verify erased the 2FA we had implemented but my blog still requests it. I’ve contacted Okta (short answer there is nothing they can do). I’ve contacted godaddy, they said I need to get ahold of wordpress to prove that I am the admin in other ways so that they can disable the 2FA and I can just login through standard username and password.

I do have security through wordfence. I’ve contacted them as well.

Does anyone know how to get ahold of wordpress?

I think GoDaddy is recommending that you look in the database connected to your website powered by WordPress for information in your USERS table.

    Try these steps:
You can login to your GoDaddy webhosting account and look for the access to PHPMYADMIN.
Your database is located in the area PHPMYADMIN.
Look inside your database to find the USERS table.
In the USERS table you will see all of the details about the email address associated with the user with administrator capabilities.

Godaddy said they could help with my domain… but could not help me get into my www.remarpro.com blog because they are completely separate from them. ?? They said I needed to get in contact with wordpress. I need www.remarpro.com to help me with this as thats where I log into my blog, unfortunately. Not through godaddy…

I used SHOWIT to build and host my website… i’ve contacted them as well. But I don’t see anywhere that there is access to PHPMYADMIN.

Contact SHOWIT support to ask where to find instructions to get access to the DATABASE that is connected to the website set up using their service: https://showit.co/help Maybe SHOWIT does not use PHPMYADMIN.

(Volunteers on this support forum do not have access to your webhosting account, database or files.)
