2FA not working with Google Authenticator

    I use it other places, but I keep getting “illegal code” when I go to active it in the WF 2FA.

    Error message: “The code provided does not match the expected value. Please verify that the time on your authenticator device is correct and that this server’s time is correct.”

    Clocks are within seconds. Refreshing the page in WF does cause new codes to come to my google authenticator interface…. but they never work.

    Do you have PHP error logging enabled? If so, can you check for and share any errors you see.

    You might also check for a conflict with either the theme or one of the plugins you’re using, could you try temporarily switching to a default theme if you’re not already using one and disabling all other plugins then reactivating them one by one to see if the issue persists?

    To do so I recommend the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin which allows you to disable all plugins and switch to a default theme, but only for your user.
