I have users trying to setup 2FA and they cannot because they use their phone and cannot scan the code with the phone that they are displaying the code with. The way it’s setup now you need two screens.

Is there a way to set it up with one screen?

The Google Authenticator app gives the option for manual setup, but I cannot find where the manual key is.

Can you help me locate this?

Also, a feature request to allow just email only would be great!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @doncoryon

    I hope you’re well today!

Hm… that’s a valid point and it seems we missed that. Surprisingly, it also seems nobody pointed that out to us so far!

For now I’m afraid the only way in this case would be for that user to somehow grab an access to a computer or another phone (any other screen, basically) and scan it from there. The code is valid for 30 seconds only so it’s not that somebody will save it and use it later to grab an access.

But I have already discussed that with our Defender developers and they’ll look into it to add some improvements to that process in future so it wold be easy to setup in such cases.

    Thanks for pointing that out!

We already have it planned. I don’t have an ETA but I can confirm it’s on a future features list already so it’s going to be there.

    Best regards,
    Adam
