Dear Tutor LMS, We have a big issue. Our wordpress website use your plugin, Tutor LMS GPL license and a few days ago we setup the 2FA in the Tutor LMS settings. But unfortunately we did a big mistake, we couldn’t setup and activate the SMTP, so the email with the OTP code doesn’t work. We are not receiving the code at the email address provided.

We can’t access the admin interface at all. We can’t reach it. What can we do now?
After entering the login details, we see the following: https://www.beautyfitmom.com/?step=tutor-2fa

    Thanks

  • Hi @blanka95 ,

Thank you for reaching out. To resolve this issue and regain access to your site, please follow these steps:

    1. Log in to Your Hosting Account: Access your website’s file manager or use an FTP client to connect to your server.
    2. Locate the WordPress Installation: Navigate to the wp-content/plugins folder within your WordPress site directory.
    3. Disable the Tutor LMS Plugin: Temporarily rename the Tutor LMS plugin folder (e.g., change tutor to tutor-disabled). This will deactivate the plugin.
    4. Log in to Your WordPress Admin Panel: With Tutor LMS disabled, you should be able to log in without the 2FA prompt.
    5. Re-enable Tutor LMS: Once logged in, rename the plugin folder back to its original name (tutor). Reactivate the plugin from your WordPress dashboard.
    6. Set Up SMTP Properly: Before re-enabling 2FA, ensure your email system is configured correctly to send verification codes. You can use an SMTP plugin to achieve this.

This process should allow you to regain access and properly configure your 2FA settings. Let me know if you need further assistance!
