2fa either incorrect or expired error wordpress login

    hello i have wordfence plugin setup and enabled 2fa it was working smooth but yesterday i tried to login it didn,t recognize the 2fa code which iam receiving through google authenticator app but i can login using recovery codes

    Hi @surmashigri, thanks for reaching out.

    It’s a possibility that something has changed at the hosting end to throw the timestamps out, especially as you’re reporting recovery codes succeeding, which I’d expect to fail if something else had gone wrong with the Wordfence plugin or login flow generally.

    If you’re unable to verify your 2FA codes at all, you can rename the /wp-content/plugins/wordfence plugin folder to “wordfence_bak”. This should let you access and log into your site normally. You can then rename the folder back to “wordfence” to set up 2FA again from the Login Security pages.

    hello the issue was with the authenticator app IAM using Google authenticator ….IAM posting it here if someone facing the same issue

    Open authenticator app go to settings click time correction for codes and sync date
