I set up 2FA on all my sites a few months ago after one was hacked.

I have the recovery codes downloaded for my other 5 sites and I have the codes on my phone app.

But on my one site it’s asking for 2FA but I don’t have the code set up on my phone and I’ve searched my downloads folder – there’s no recovery code either.

I must have somehow clicked to set it up but didn’t add it to my phone.

How can I access my site again without a 2FA or recovery code?

    Thank you.

Hi @yvettemd, thanks for reaching out.

You can rename the Wordfence plugin directory to something like “wordfence.bak” via FTP or your hosting control panel and then sign in using your username and password only.

Once you’re back in, you can change the folder back to “wordfence”, refresh and disable 2FA so that you can set it up again from scratch.

    Thanks,

    Peter.
