Looking for user management for client area

  • I’ve been looking for a plugin (or a few that will work together) to create a client area for my photography site. I’ve found some that will allow only certain users to see certain categories and others that will redirect to a category once a user is logged in. But none that do both. Does anyone have any suggestions? Has anyone done this that might have some suggestions?

    I’m also looking for a way to integrate a small login box that will appear when someone clicks on “client area”. Something similar to the login box on the new twitter page or a ModalBox of some kind.

  • You might consider something like “Allow Categories” which would allow you to create categories and limit the users that can access them. For example, you could create a category called Clients with subcategories for client names….and even sub categories with the session date, and then create users that can access those categories and restrict everyone else. That seems to be the best/easiest way to do it, I think. You would just want to provide a link to the specific category that you want the client to have access to…you could also do password protected posts, have it not appear on the main blog pages, and provide clients with the password to specific posts that contain their images.
