2.9 Theme Editor Issue

  • Recently upgraded from 2.8 – 2.9, problem with the theme editor. After updating any file the editor window drops below the browser fold. Once a new file is selected the issue is fixed, however it is annoying.

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-related problems?

    Hey Esmi,

    Tried everything: Deactivating / Default theme.. problem still exists.

    Try re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folder from a fresh download of WordPress via ftp.

    I know someone who had the same issue. For her it turned out be an issue with the theme. It was not compatible with the WP 2.9. She tried several different ones and they all did the same one. She did find a theme that worked. Check and see if your theme has an update. If it does update and try again. If yours does not have a update to test.Try a couple of themes that have already been updated.
