2.9 Schedule Posts “missed”

  • All my scheduled posts are appearing as “missed” on my blog.
    I’ve seen this before where the DNS on my server failed to point back at me, however the only thing which has changed is the upgrade to 2.9
    Anyone else having the same issue since upgrading?
    Or is this a tedious job of eliminating the plugins, even though standard publish right now posts work fine?

  • I upgrade blog from 2.8.x to 2.9.1 and scheduled posts worked fine. In right time posts come visible and Twitter was notified about new post (tweet using ‘Twitter tools’)

    I made new blog 2.9.1 but scheduled posts missed again. I made modification to wp-config.php file to use alternate wp cron, and… Post come visible, but Twitter tools didn`t any notifications in Twitter.

    I dont understand, whats the problem. Same server, same account…

    I am sorry, i found where is the problem. I missed to edit /etc/hosts file ??

    Actually, I am the revisor of a blog than was updated to the 2.9 and 2.9.1 versions by the beginning of January, and to which patches to repair the 2.9 errors were added, too.

    The posts missed schedule for ten days, were published on time for four days and now it’s back to missed schedule. I have no clue and on what’s the problem and really need some help.

    What should be checked? Why has it run for a few days even though nothing was changed by the host? How can we have the posts scheduled on time once and for all? Is (‘ALTERNATE_WP_CRON’, true) the solution?

    Thanks for any help! I’m quite tired to publish the posts after the missed schedule on this new version of WP while I have no problem like that on my blog with an my old WP 2.2.1 version.

    I believe the problem is with the feedburner plugin. I was able to schedule posts in advance until I installed and activated feedburner. Now nothing seems to work.
    The problem could also have something to do with my use of a non standard directory.
