[Plugin – NextGen Gallery] crunching down large files as well as thumbnails

    Hi,

    I have installed Next Gen Gallery on WP 2.8 and it is successfully making thumbnails, but it is leaving the original file untouched. I’d like to crunch down the original file as well, say to 600×800. Otherwise with all the photos I upload, it won’t take but a month or so until I run out of hosting space.

    Any ideas to get NextGen Gallery to crunch down the original file as well?

    I just added the tag “nextgen-gallery” to this post because I learned at Alex Rabe’s website that this is what I’m supposed to do. ??

    When managing a gallery you can select all the photos using the checkbox. Then in the dropdown list you can select Resize Images. It will resize all images using the settings in the Images tab within options.
