2.7 too demanding on resources

  • The new WP 2.7 seems very demanding on resources. I have 16 mb allocated, and had to remove plugins to even see anything on the front page. Granted, I have a few plugins, but still, it seems that this new version is too demanding for a fairly normal install.

    The way WordPress is developing the platform will eventually lead to users having problems if they have a few plugins. Some of them, like cforms are quite large. But that used to work fine before, so something has changed with core wordpress, to simply make it more demaning.

    It should at least be possible to remove gravatars from the comment section, and other uneccassary stash.
