• I just did a fresh install of 2.7 on a media temple server.

    Here is the error
    “The uploaded file could not be moved to /var/www/vhosts/domain.com/httpdocs/wp-content.”

    miscellaneous settings are still at default. i created the wp-content/uploads folder manually and set the permissions to 755. no dice.

    Any tip on this one?

    and please don’t lmgtfy.com me, i tried various solutions I found on here and havent found a fix.

  • try chmod 777 on /wp-content for the 1st upload
    should work
    chmod back to 755
    should continue to work

    Hi,
    I found the solution to this problem after very long (very very) time.
    It’s so simple, I’m shame to explain:
    You have to check if the URL for the installation do not have any
    CAPITAL letters.

    I had! When i change it to be without any CAPITALS it works
