2.6 Upgrade Problem Cannot Login

  • Hi,
    I have tried to upgrade my blog to 2.6 several times now. The first time I tried the WP Automatic Upgrade Plugin and everything went fairly smoothly. I ran the WP Upgrade script after it was finished and then was prompted to login. I could not. My password had changed. I checked the hash in the DB against the what should have been there and it was different. I pasted the correct hash in the DB, but could still not login.

    I then reset everything back to the old version and took a few days off.

    I just tried a manual upgrade today and the exact same thing happened. I cannot login? I even tried the Emergency password script and still no luck.

    Help! What is wrong here, and how do I fix it?

  • I’m having the same problem. Upgraded to 2.6, says it’s done and to login, but then won’t let me login. Attempted to get new password, but when I click on the link provided it says “Sorry, that key does not appear to be valid.”

    What’s going on here?
