2.6 login problem

  • I have upgraded well over 100 sites to 2.6 but on one server I am having a problem with the login after the upgrade.
    Read every post I can find in the forum recommending lots of different fixes, but on one particular site on this server, it simply will not work.

    Cleared cache and cookies. Even installed a new browser to get around the problem, but it just will not login.

    I enter the username and password [definitely both correct] and I am caught in an eternal loop of ‘Please login again’.

    Reloaded all the files, tried changing the password via phpmyadmin and still no access.

    Any ideas from anyone in the same boat would be greatly appreciated.

  • i can guess that you are on godaddy:) that happened to me as well.
    click the forgot password link, click the link in your email and then login with the new password….before you login with the new pass make sure you cleared all cookies….that’s what i did and worked…good luck
