• Anyone else noticed that WP 2.5’s WYSIWIG is still rewriting code:
    – rewriting br tags
    – stripping class
    – inserting p tags in random place
    – etc.

What is kinda lame product-design wise is that when you disable the text editor at a user level, you still get the ‘code’ menu, which is presumably the culprit. In Drupal when you disable the text editor, you get the plain textarea, and it should be the same in WP.

But the real question is how to jigger the WYSIWIG so that it doesn’t rewrite your HTML code in the first. I’m assuming this is JS ‘doing string cleaning/preparation’ before submitting to DB. Any ideas?

    Thanks
