    Hi everybody !

I’ve also struggled with the image uploader but I’ve followed the instruction of Otto42 and the uploader is working now.

The only problem I’ve so far now ist that the file-uploader window that pops-up when hitting the Add Media buttons is NOT in the center of my screen. It’s far way at the bottom at my IE-Window so that I can’t scroll down to see the rest of the buttons. Pls have a look at the screenshot.

I’m using IE 7.0.5730.17 and the newest Flash Player Version 9,0,115,0

When using Firefox, everything works fine.

    Any Advice would be welcome.

    Thanks a lot,

    David

Hmm … no one else is struggling with this one ?

You’re not the only one, same problem here. OK in FireFox not in IE7.

I’ve made a full Upgrade to 2.5.1 now

    But still the same behavior.

I’m unable to use IE in order to view wordpress in the correct way ??

Has anyone any suggestions for this – or do I need to suggest to clients that they learn a new browser rather than struggle with IE?

Same problem. Downloaded the latest Flash player hoping for a fix but none yet.

I too am having this problem. I am one of the few people it seems that hates using FF so I am unlikely to use it just to fix this one problem. But it would be nice if WP would at least acknowledge this problem so we know they are working on it.

I’m having this problem also… Not that I’d particularly mind using FF or something else, but what about the ignorant masses??

Hopefully there is a fix somewhere in the code… digging in there now to see if changing the arbritrary box opening size embedded in the link can be changed somewhere… make it taller?? Maybe this wwould be quick fix..

Hummn.. I’d hoped for more reactions but.. I’ve managed a “quick and dirty” work-around..

Upload an image you don’t intend to use, then those that you do intend to use “above” it..

When you then use the “upload media” button, click on the “media library” icon.. click on the lowest in the menu (the unused file you’ve uploaded), as well as the rest of the “view” links for the rest of the photos or one single photo you want to insert.. you’ll be able to use the “unused” first upload as a sort of “placeholder” which will fill that unusable space at the bottom of the window… What you need/want, will be available above it..

VERY unelegant solution, not one I’d like to try to explain to a client… hopefully, something much better on the horizon..

    Shortz

I’m also looking for a fix. When i click a image like on this plugin page. Is it a IE problem or WordPress?
