• When I first upgraded to 2.5 I had issues with the ADMIN section. I finally got that to work, and the site was fully functional yesterday.

Today -none of the links are working. When I click a Headline to read the full post, I get the following error message:

    Not Found
The requested URL /blog/idol-conspiracy-fixed-votes.htm was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
    Apache/1.3.37 Server at https://www.willosweb.com Port 80

I’m not a web guru – I have no idea with this means. Everything worked fine yesterday – and I’ve made no other changes to the site other than creating a new post today. Any assistance would be wonderful.

As I explore the site more – I realize that NONE of the links are working. They all worked fine yesterday. UGH!

I gave up … reverted back to 2.3.3. Someone let me know when all the bugs are gone. Then maybe I’ll upgrade to 2.5.

I don’t think it was a bug. More likely there was an issue with your permalinks – according to the error message.
Did you ever try resetting your permalinks before downgrading?

I had exactly the same thing happen.

When I upgraded to 2.5, I reset permalinks as a matter of course. I checked links and they all worked fine. Today I got an email from a reader that links were broken. Sure enough, clicking on a page link returns a “no post found on that topic” message. Note, this is not the same as a 404 page.

I reset permalinks again, and now it works… again.

I’d hate to have to do this every day, though.

“reset permalinks” … that’s a foreign language to me.

Settings –> Permalinks –> Save Changes

    That’s it.
