Image uploader problem fixed by altering MTU

    Hi. Just lately I’ve been using WordPress.com (I used to do my own WP installs but am going through a lazy patch!). I thought I’d pipe up here though as I have been having image uploader problems similar to those many are experiencing here:

    1. they were erratic – I could upload tiny under 10k images all the time, and larger ones sometimes, but most of the time I just got an http error or simply a blank page.

    2. They were not browser specific

    3. They did not respond to any of the fixes as per the sticky at the top of this forum.

    My ISP suggested I try altering my MTU settings. So I changed my MTU on my router and PCs from 1460 to 1500 – the highest possible setting, and it fixed the problem straight away.
