24 hour limit for migration?

    Hi folks,

    I’m about 20 hours into migrating a sizeable e-commerce site, and the migrator is showing it as approx one fifth complete (52649 of 245686 files).

    I note that Siteground states that 24 hours is the maximum a migration should take when using SG Migrator, and since it seems clear that will not allow mine enough time to complete, I wanted to ask whether the process is likely to fail? If we do need to look at other solutions for site migration for any reason, it would be really useful to know as soon as possible rather than after waiting a long time for a migration that can’t complete.

    There’s no limit set on the duration, so your migration should pass as expected. I’ve checked the logs and it seems that your migration has been successful, so I’m marking this as resolved.
