• How can I make a custom page template that automatically shows all my nextgen albums? I’d like to skip the process of manually adding album tags to a page.

    Any help would be appreciated!

  • You can use the WP function do_shortcode() within your template to call the album shortcode.

    Hi Andy,

I am pretty competent with wordpress however I have never come across this do_shortcode{} …Are you able to post a demonstration?

I will be forever in your debt as a NextGen Album Archive page is exactly what I am after. ??

well its not in the readme file. :[

Right so I FINALLY found the solution to this so thought I would come back and let you all know.

    Add: ngg_paged_Galleries
as a custom field within your wordpress page. And then set the amount of gallerys you wish your album to display per pagination.

    So for example :

    Go to your wordpress Admin
    Go to your gallery page
Add this to your pages content [album id=1 template=compact]
Under this you will have a box called ‘Custom Fields’
Add ngg_paged_Galleries to the name field
and 5 to the value field

    Hope this helps everyone out!

With thanks to Maurice’s comments for the help!
