The WordPress Stats plugin on my blog has stopped logging into WordPress.com to retrieve my blog’s stats. I can logon to my account at WordPress.com and see my stats, but when I try to logon through my blog’s Stats plugin, nothing happens. It just returns me to the logon and empties all the fields. Even if I’m logged into WordPress.com and click on the link to go to my dashboard, I’m still prompted for my WordPress.com logon and I still can’t login.

I’ve been using the Stats plugin for at least the last six months and this has just started happening over the last two or three days.

Anyone have an idea why this is happening?

    Thanks,

    Rick

  • Have you just upgraded to FireFox 3? You need to allow third party cookies to login with this browser.

    Thanks renowden, that fixed it.

Thanks alot! I had just upgraded, and I didn’t know why I should allow cookies from third parties (huh?). But now I know that it allows me to see my blog stats!

This post should be stickied to the top of the forums – I’ve seen countless posts about this very issue, and I’ve suffered from it myself for 2 months.

Just went and checked FireFox and it had self-deselected the 3rd-party cookie option at last upgrade

    dohhh!!!!!!
