Not only do I not have any WYSIWYG commands, or tabs to switch between writing formats, but when I attempt to save what I have written I get the following error message:

Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/p/private-intellectual.de/public_html/wp-content/advanced-cache.php:1) in /home/p/private-intellectual.de/public_html/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 275

Bascially this means that I cannot write and then save any new posts, which makes WP pretty redundant on the whole.

  • I assume you deactivated all of your plugins – tested – then reactivated one by one?

Done that. The problem appears to be with advanced-cache.php itself, as it is sending and allowing no commands whatsoever – which means no posts, no updates and I cannot even logout of my weblog.

I presume I need to re-create this file, but does that mean upload WP from scratch and all, or can I re-create it by some other means? The file doesn’t exist in any of the WP update files that I have, nor in the original program and must be created as part of the initial start-up.

To my last, the problem appears to have been solved. I removed (not deleted!) the wp-config.php file and uploaded a new, blank advanced-cache.php file to wp-contents, then re-uploaded the wp-config.php file. The system made as if I was reconfiguring and then corrected itself, accepting the new advanced-cache.php file and allowing all processes to continue unhindered.
