2020 Roadmap? Add Your 2020 Wishes for WP Job Manager!
-
Happy new year, everyone! With the new year off and running, I’ve been thinking of all my wishes for WP Job Manager, and I was wondering if there is a 2020 roadmap for WP Job Manager development?
In the meantime, here are my wishes for WP Job Manager development in 2020, and please add yours below!
- Community forum for both free and premium WP Job Manager add-ons
- Company profiles add-on that works similarly to Resume Manager add-on, but also lists the current job openings posted, in addition to the company profile
- Stats add-on for back-end and front-end (users) that integrates with Google Analytics
- WP Paid Listings allowing more than 1 of the same type of job package to be purchased in the same transaction
- Fix for WP Paid Listings allowing an additional job package to be added to the cart and successfully charged to the customer, but then not added to their account
- Option to allow limited rich text to be pasted in (i.e. just bold, italics, underline, and bullet points or numbered lists) to the job post submission fields.
- Fix for expired and then relisted jobs that are taken to the “Choose a package” page with WP Paid Listings -but then abandoned- incorrectly having their “Posted” date changed to be current, even though they weren’t posted.
- Logo scaling, so logos that aren’t squares aren’t cut-off in the job post listings and single pages
- Option to remove the special formatting and sanitization of the “Application Email or URL Field” so that any content can be entered there (like a normal text field).
- Making “Duplicate” option for job posts in user dashboard always available.
- Fix for erroneous messages being generated when there is more than one page of job listings on the dashboard and the user marks one has filled and navigates to another page of job listings on their dashboard.
- Fix for HTML code for symbols (like “&”) being shown in the job alert e-mails.
- Option under “Job Types” and “Job Categories” etc. in back-end to set them to display in a custom order (and not just alphabetized)
- Back-end reports that track how many jobs are posted each day/week/month, average total jobs live on board over specified time frame, etc.
Phew, and I’m sure I’m forgetting a bunch, too! I hope this is helpful to start, please add yours below, and I look forward to what 2020 holds for WP Job Manager Development!
