2013 Background color

David: Did you ever get a solution to this? I am looking for a plug-in that will let me put background colors on pages in the WordPress 2013 theme.
Please advise.

Just use a CSS plugin and add some custom CSS to it. Very easy, it can be done with any theme, not just TwentyThirteen. Oh, and learning to use a web debugging tool like Firebug or Chrome Developer Tools will be very helpful.
