Hi, I am using ‘Twenty Twelve’ on three live websites, two of which are fully functional on my mobile device (Samsung SIII mini). The third site loads OK but the MENU button has ‘stopped’ working??? It highlights but does not turn orange – I am stuck – can anyone help me out please? (The 3 sites are built in exactly the same way and all updates are up to date.)

    Working: https://www.celbiomat.com
    NOT WORKING: https://www.kevinwilliams-thisistheday.com

    Many thanks in advance
    Kevin

  • You currently seem to have a much bigger problem on that site.

    Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator to inform of the time the error occurred and of anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Thank you for responding…however I believe you may have landed on the site at a time of a ‘glitch’ with the server; it it up and running now.

Can you help me with the menu issue?

One thing I have thought of is that I did ‘activate’ the 2013 Theme after upgrading to WordPress 3.6 to take a look at it…but I immediately reactivated 2012 thereafter. I only did this on this particular site…

    Many thanks
    kevin

Re-upload a fresh, unpacked, copy of the Twenty Twelve folder to wp-content/themes using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

Thank you…just downloaded 2012 from your link, set site temporarily to 2011 and deleted all other themes (from WP control panel), uploaded new 2012 from my download folder and activated it (from WP control panel)…no difference unfortunately???

Try resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin.

Sorry I’m a real novice…need more instruction unfortunately…by FTP or PhpMyAdmin

Did you read the section at the link I posted above?

    AS I said…

    I’ll read!

Can I not deactivate the plugs in the WP control panel?

You could try but it would be better to deactivate them using Phpmyadmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

Thank you very much Esmi…ALL SORTED :)I really appreciate your help (and I’ve learned something very valuable I think!)

FYI – I changed the plugin name in my Plesk Panel…
For any body else’s convenience experiencing the same problem, the following solved my issue:-

Reset your plugins folder via FTP or the file manager provided in your host’s control panel.

Via FTP or your host’s file manager, navigate to the wp-contents folder (directory)
Via FTP or your host’s file manager, rename the folder “plugins” to “plugins.hold”
Login to your WordPress administration menus (/wp-admin)
Via FTP or your host’s file manager, rename “plugins.hold” back to “plugins”
