2010 Weaver V1.5.4 Internet Explorer Menus Issue

The 2010 Weaver V1.5.4 Theme seems to have a conflict with Internet Explorer. The drop-down sub-menus seem to appear below the content area. For instance on the home page I have a promotion slider at the top of the page. When you hover over a menu, the sub-menu appears and extends down and should extend over the promotion slider, but instead it goes under. The same is true for the comments section of the page. Again the menus extend under the comments element. This only happens in Internet Explorer and not in Firefox. Anybody else run in to this problem.
