• I have 20 WP blogs installed in one parent directory (each has its own subdirectory, of course). When I tried to install #21, I got this error:
Warning: file(/usr/local/apache/conf/httpd.conf): failed to open stream: Permission denied in /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/fantastico/includes/enc_check.inc.php on line 225

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/fantastico/includes/enc_check.inc.php on line 226

I went ahead and clicked Finish Installation, and got this error:
Warning: mkdir(/makeup): Permission denied in /tmp/cpanel_phpengine.1124476542.182305594.71041969122 on line 1208

    1) File: /makeup/wp-config.php [ERROR! ]
    2) File: /makeup/data.sql [ERROR! ]

  • That’s a Fantastico error, not a WordPress one. You should contact your host.

Or even better, install WordPress the real way and not via a 3rd party application. It’s always best to install web applications via their own installer.

Maybe you have a limit of 20 databases? Or are you putting them all in one?

Thanks, guys, I’ll talk to my host about it. I don’t think I have a limit on databases, but that’s a possibility.

I’ll try the installer some time to see how that goes.

If you don’t, you’ll probably have one after you talk to them. ??
