  • By “my site” I mean my 2.0RC1 site so the old style system and the new theme system still function just fine. And there is only one “l” in “Thomas Stearns” ??

“And there is only one “l” in “Thomas Stearns” ;-)”

    I sit corrected.

is it ok to install rc1 on a new production site? i need to set up a new wordpress installation today and would like to install 2.0. i know that beta versions are not recommended on production sites but there’s no content to be lost since it’s a new site. will i be able to upgrate from an rc1 version to the final one? or will it be impossible to upgrade?

Nope, those of us helping with the release candidate will be unable to install the finished product. ??

Oh, and the answer to your question is still, “Caveat emptor.”

those of us helping with the release candidate will be unable to install the finished product. ??

very funny. to be specific, my question is, will the final version recognize rc1 as a wordpress version and do any appropiate upgrades to the databse if needed?

I created a new site for this 2.0 RC1, installation was smooth and OK except that when browsing for default themes the images of the themes don’t show up.

Also I don’t see where I can set folder for uploading of images and limiting the size of files for uploading.

I take one, but I still wait the stable version to be use for my blog..

    Keep up wordpress!!

Excellent news! Time to save some bucks to donate when it is finally released. Thanks to the WP2.0 team!!!

I am running a blog as a critique exchange forum between 2 schools. The users are continually having trouble logging in – for no apparent reason. I am using this for a masters project in Educational Technology. My Word Press version is 1.5.2.

If you tell me to upgrade, I will have to reply that if I make any more changes to the project, the cooperating teacher may have cardiac arrest. (Both she and I are art teachers – although I’m a bit more savvy than she. Does that define the picture a bit more?)

    Thanks!

    “trouble logging in”
What is the precise error ?
What system changes have happened, including updates ?
What plugins have been added ? Tried deactivating them ?
Is it happening every time or just sometimes ?
Is it only happening on some machines or all ?
