2 Things I Need Help With

  • 1. I need an easy way to delete thousands of spam accounts at the same time. At the rate of 20 a pop, it’s going to take me days or weeks to get rid of them all. I have three or four pages of users that start with “abby”)

    2. At one point, I installed BBPress, but I couldn’t get it to import my old forum database, so I got rid of it. It created several user roles and I cannot seem to find a way eliminate them. Where is this data stored so I can delete all of the extraneous roles?

    Re 1: This article from WP Beginner offers two options, one that allows you to do 200 at a time manually or automated using a plugin like Bulk Delete.

    Re 2: You’ll need a plugin that is a role manager. There are a few out there, but I like this one, PublishPress Capabilities.

    Once it’s installed, you’ll be able to see all roles and delete the ones you don’t want.
