    Hey there,

recently, I noticed that the first two steps of our three-step donation form are all shown at once:

    • First, there’s the “Choose an amount” screen including the button “Next”
    • And directly below that is the “Donor details” screen including the buttons “Next” and “Back”

It used to work normal for the longest time, with three distinctive screens that would each only appear once clicking “Next” but at least since yesterday (when I first noticed it), it doesn’t work like that anymore :/

How could we look into this to solve it?

    Thanks so much already!

    Best,
    Dennis

Just to follow up, this is how the first two steps are currently shown at once: https://ibb.co/927FmHF

And the page just moved to https://impactful.ninja/donation/ as we are trying a workaround for the other previously shared link (where we disabled the form and redirected the initial entry to our checkout page – not really ideal but better than nothing) ??

    Hi Dennis,

thanks for reaching out. I’m sorry for the issues and I’m pretty sure it’s caused by some CSS of JavaScript on your page. Unfortunately I’m on vacation until the August 23 so I can’t investigate this right now. Maybe you can use style 4 in the meantime?

    Hi Dennis,

I just checked and it seems like another plugin/theme/custom code is adding a closing </div> tag at the wrong place which causes the issue. It might be caused by the plugin that adds an element “wfob_input_hidden_data”. I just checked the code of Donation Platform for WooCommerce and the closing tag is definitely added by a different plugin. I will close this issue now since there is not much I can do to fix this, sorry.

Thanks for double-checking this, Jonas! That’s already a great starting point to investigate further from out side!

Just following up as we found the conflict: There’s a plugin that we use for our WooCommerce shop called Kadence Shop Kit and this has an option to control variations. As soon as we disabled the variation control option there, the original error went away. I’m not sure if that information is helpful for you but I thought to share it anyway, just in case (especially as Kadence is quite popular) ??

Thanks for reporting this solution ?? I’ve added a dedicated documentation article about this issue: https://www.wc-donation.com/documentation/troubleshooting/resolving-display-issues-with-the-3-step-donation-form-two-steps-shown-at-once/

    Best,
    Jonas
