There appears to be something unusual about the 2-step verification: when I login to my WordPress dashboard, I enter my password and the verification code as you’d expect, but then I see a message saying ‘this feature has been deactivated’.

I always need to repeat the above process a second time in order to successfully log in.

This didn’t happen initially, I believe it only started happening after an update that was released recently.

PS: Been advised to open this ticket after my review about the plugin. Not a critical issue, just a bit annoying.

    Hi there @ruasesamo

It sounds to me like something may be stuck in cache following a recent update.

I was able to replicate the issue on a site where both Mask Login and 2FA features have been enabled for some time. But only when using user/pass saved in the browser; when manually entering the user/pass in the login form, it worked as expected.

To fix the issue on my end though, I just needed to re-authenticate 2FA by deactivating in my WordPress user profile, then reactivate it.

Can you please give that a try on your end?

    Cheers!
    Patrick

    Hello @ruasesamo ,

We haven’t heard from you for over a week now, so it looks like my colleague’s suggestion helped.

Please feel free to re-open this ticket if needed.

    kind regards,
    Kasia
