    Hello,

I have enabled Woocommerce product rating on my product pages. But now I use the seal of ProvenExperts (similar to TrustPilot) to display my reviews in Google. They said that the Structured Data, so the script of the product ratings of Woocommerce overlaps with the script of ProvenExperts. Therefore, only the stars of the product ratings are displayed in Google and not those of ProvenExperts.

    My question:
Is there any way to keep Woocommerce’s product ratings enabled, but remove the part of the code in the script for the stars in Google? So that the ratings are only visible to the customers on my site and not to Google anymore. I want Google to read the ratings from the ProvenExperts seal.

  • Hi @jandelay

I understand that you want Google to read the ratings from the ProvenExperts seal and not from Woocommerce’s product ratings, yet have those ratings enabled for customers to be able to see on the site but invisible to Google.

I searched around but couldn’t find a code snippet that could help achieve this. There are ways to hide the stars visually but not from Google.

This is a fairly complex development topic. I’m going to leave it open for a bit to see if anyone is able to chime in to help you out.

If you’re not receiving input on this thread, I can recommend reaching out to one of the customization experts listed here: https://woocommerce.com/customizations/.

I can also recommend the WooCommerce Developer Resources Portal for resources on developing for WooCommerce.

You can also visit the WooCommerce Facebook group or the #developers channel of the WooCommerce Community Slack. We’re lucky to have a great community of open-source developers for WooCommerce, and many of our developers hang out there, as well.

This specific forum is more focused on the default WooCommerce core features.

    Cheers
