2 questions. Please answer.

  • 1. Can this plugin autogenerate a post thumbnail from local videos and set it as a post featured image?

    2. Can this plugin be used in a native way without any shortcodes? This means when I insert a video it just simply swaps the player with yours. I care for localhosted videos too.

    1. Yes.
    2. Videopack doesn’t work with the block editor, but using the classic editor it will automatically insert the [videopack] shortcode instead of the default [video] shortcode. Videopack has a setting to replace existing [video] shortcodes with the Videopack player. Some video players will use the video’s featured image as a thumbnail so if you have a video player that does that then it will without shortcodes.

    Thanks for letting me know!
    I’ve been looking for such a player and writing in the forums, but sadly I couldn’t find such player. I also use the classic editor but don’t like shortcodes and because my few users are using the front end to make a publication that’s why I’m looking for this features.
