    The Manual handle makes it possible for you to display the sidebar using the display_ca_sidebar() code anywhere in your theme or the [ca-sidebar] shortcode directly in your posts or pages. The sidebar will only be displayed if its conditions are met, just like the merging/replacing sidebars.

    2.

    Content Aware Sidebars does not manipulate with the styling of your sidebars or widgets, it only determines under what conditions to display the sidebars.
    The link you have posted gives a 404 error, but usually you would use CSS to change the width of your sidebars.
