• 1. Our IT Tech says he’s “seeing two instances of our Google Analytics code on our site.” (which is https://fabulousfarmgirl.com)
Q1.: We just did the GA plugin update to MonsterInsights this a.m.; by the New Version notes to the Update, it looks like this 2 instances / tags problem may be resolved by the new Update. Can anyone verify this for us?

    2. He also says: “One [of the 2 instances of GA code] is running through Yoast, and another is hard coded on your site.”
Q2.: If there’s no answer to Q1 above, and if there are 2 instances of the GA code on our site, how can we go about resolving that?

    3. He also says: “This is likely over-inflating our pageviews.”
Q3.: Would having 2 instances of GA code on our site be over-inflating our pageviews?

    Thanks in Advance,

    Daniel & Leah ??

Based on that alone, this is unrelated to any of the updates. If it’s hardcoded into your theme (which most developers would consider to be bad theme practice) that needs to be removed from the theme, to allow for accurate reporting. If there’s a settings panel for your theme, and there’s options in that panel for Google Analytics, you’ll want to remove your Google Analytics UA code from that or turn it off, whatever is offered.
