2 header images in twenty eleven after loading a slideshow

it is important to have an unedited default theme in case of problems; also, customisations might otherwise get overwritten with the next upgrade.

– have you looked at the option:
dashboard – appearance – header – remove header image ?

not tested in connection with the slideshow – depends on how the images are added to the slideshow (?)

I created a child theme and then in that used the option to remove the header image and voila, a beautiful slideshow header! Thank you!

Whoa! It displays beautifully in Firefox 9 and Chrome 16, but in Internet Explorer 8 the header photo is narrower than the rest of the site, and the menu disappears completely. Help!

for instance, the slide div is illegelly inserted before the body tag.
and some code has overwritten the DOCTYPE declaration.

how did you add the code(s) for the header slider?

It was a plug-in.

if the plugin is causing that may validation errors, look for another one.

I think you’re right. There should be some simple javascript or something that would do the same thing that I could insert somewhere (I’m thinking in the header.php file?) Now I will have to figure out how to uninstall the plug in…
