hi, I have 2 pdf files in the same article to download.
I created 2 downloads and everything works.
but the counter always counts only 1 to 1 file and 0 to the other.
I, on the other hand, have downloaded them at least 10 times

    what am I doing wrong?

    thanks

If you add two “Lana Download” post types, even if they contain the same file, they will still count separately.

    So:
    Download #1 post
    download link: /download-1/
    file: /test.pdf

    Download #2 post
    download link: /download-2/
    file: /test.pdf

If you click on the /download-1/ link, only the Download #1 post will count the download.

There is flood protection in the plugin. If you click on the link more than once within 1 hour, it will still only count as 1.
If the same person clicks on the link 100× within a minute, it still counts as just 1.

I hope I answered your question and was able to help.

    sorry for my english.

    I have:

    1 post

    download file 1 test.pdf

    download file 2 test-foo.pdf

    wp version 5.2.12

i tested on a test hosting with wp 5.8.1 and it works great.
if I download several times in a minute, I count them all

    Then is everything all right?

Do you understand flood protection? Flood protection only works when “Logs” is “Enabled”.

I don’t know what could be wrong with in your website.

I have tested it several times and everything works perfectly for me.

    My test:

    I have two download files:
    #1830 – Second Download (Download Count: 0)
    #1757 – First Download (Download Count: 0)

I click on each one and it works, it downloads the file. The counter changes:
    #1830 – Second Download (Download Count: 1)
    #1757 – First Download (Download Count: 1)

I see each file in the log:
    #1830 downloaded at 12:00
    #1757 downloaded at 12:00

Now I click on it 3x times (it doesn’t count because of the flood protection).
    The counter does not changes:
    #1830 – Second Download (Download Count: 1)
    #1757 – First Download (Download Count: 1)

But the log shows all the operations:
    #1830 downloaded at 12:03
    #1757 downloaded at 12:03
    #1830 downloaded at 12:02
    #1757 downloaded at 12:02
    #1830 downloaded at 12:01
    #1757 downloaded at 12:01
    #1830 downloaded at 12:00
    #1757 downloaded at 12:00

All 3× clicks are visible in the log.

    This is the expected operation.

If the plugin does not count the download for you (because it remains 0) and the download is not visible in the log, then for some reason the download will not be detected.

I can find the URL on your profile where you are testing the profile.

I checked the “pippo” post and downloaded the two files. It was downloaded and the download counter has also increased.

So I think the plugin works on your website as well.

Maybe the flood protection that isn’t completely understandable to you and confuses you?

yes i tested the plugin in my site (and works well) but in the another site when i installed this plugin have the little problem.

don’t worry it doesn’t matter much.

thank you for the support, that’s okay for now.

Um, then I could only think of some server (webhosting) config that might not be compatible with the plugin on that website.
But without detailed testing, unfortunately, I can’t tell you what the problem might be.
