2 Factor Authentication is not sending verification code

    I have the ithemes security plugin installed in our webpage, with two factor authentication selected. Yesterday (1/17) I was able to log in with no problem. This morning, I tried to log in, and the webpage will not send me the 2 factor authentication code to verify my log in. I clicked on the reset password link, and I was able to receive the link to reset the password. But I still haven’t received a verification code to log in.

    On a side note, I also have a few forms set-up on our webpage. When I submitted information in the form, I was not sent a verification e-mail, when usually, I would receive one when a user enters their information. Not sure if this is a word press issue, or possibly an e-mail/inbox issue. Thank you in advance for any help!

    Yes, I did. It was a problem with an external email filter that was installed by our IT staff that I was not aware of. The website hosts were able to go in through the back end and grant me access.

    i have started facing the same issue now. and its email filter issue but something else..Can anyone help?

    I am facing the same thing I logged in and was not sent the 2-factor code what could be the problem and how do I solve it? This sucks!

    If this has happened to you and you need access to your site, simply ftp into wp-content and rename ithemes-security-pro to old-ithemes-security-pro to disable the plugin. Now you should be able to go to yoursite.com/wp-admin and login. Before setting up 2 factor authentication you must first confirm ithemes security email is working in the notifications center found in security->settings.
