Please see this page (you may need to add something to your cart): https://survivalcirclets.com/checkout/

The plugin works great on the single product pages when using the Express Checkout button. It also works on the pop-up “cart” menu in the nav banner.

However, on the checkout page, I have opted to display the Express checkout “both at the top and in the general list of gateways on the checkout page.”

The problem is, the PayPal Express button at the top of the Checkout page does NOT work. Unlike the other buttons, this one is different, and it hangs. You never get to PayPal.

Also, if I have enabled the option to display the PayPal Express option at the bottom of the checkout page, it creates a PayPal image that has a non-secure (http instead of https) source. It is coming from my server, as part of the plugin, but it is not secured.

My SSL certificate works fine on the page, and the two plugin-created PayPal images at the top ARE secured. However, this PayPal image at the bottom breaks the SSL green “secure” icon. It makes it turn yellow.

Any ideas?… Thank you very much!

I haven’t had any other complaints about the Express Checkout button at the top of the checkout page, and I can’t reproduce that on my own test servers. There must be something unique about your theme and its checkout page, or maybe another plugin you have enabled, or something that is conflicting. I could help you track it down, but I would need you to submit an order for premium support for that.

To start, though, you could just try another basic theme and see if the problem goes away, and then try to disable other plugins and see if the problem goes away, then re-enable one at a time until it comes back. Then you’d know the culprit.

As for the PayPal image, we are aware of that problem and it’s already been resolved on our GitHub repo, but I haven’t had a chance to fully test it and merge it into our dev branch (which is fully tested stuff that be included in the next official release) as of yet.

So the next update will include a fix for that. In the mean-time, you could adjust that image path directly in the plugin code if you’re comfortable with that. You can see that GitHub link and look at the code revision for details on what you would need to adjust. Again, though, if you want help with that you could order premium support.

I’m going to go ahead and mark this resolved here, but let me know if you have any other questions, and keep your eye out for the update to resolve that image ssl issue.
