Since the update to the latest version I have the following problem:

2-day events are only shown on the first day but with the end-time of the second day.

Events that are longer than 2 days, are shown on every day.

It doesn’t matter, if it is the list view or the grid view.
You can see the list here:
    https://www.messehunter.de/con-kalender/

and the grid is a widget in the left collumn on the starting page.

I have searched through every setting but couldn’t find anything on that topic.
Anybody who has the same problem?

  • SIMILAR ISSUE: I have a five-day event, all-day event from 12/28 to, and including, 1/1.

Simple Calendar is showing the event also on Sat., Jan 2. The hover-over pop-up is saying the event lasts until 1/3!

Since I can’t show you in this post that my Google Calendar is configure correctly for the 12/28-1/1 period, you’ll have to take my word.

This can be seen at https://authenticantioch.com/calendar-2/

I also had this problem with the last version.
Didn’t manage to fix it, so I changed all events to events with start and end.

In 3.0.0 there is a setting for the feeds:

Appearance > “Expand multi day events” (checkbox)

    Do you have that enabled?

    Yes I have.
In fact this setting works for events that are longer then 2 days.

There only seems to be a problem for 2 day events.

Ok thank you for the additional info. Noting to check into the issue. Will let you know if I think of anything else or if I have an update for you.

If you are writing me, Nick, yes, expand multi-day events is checked.

Here’s a mini-update. I found another issue. Perhaps it’s only on my end but I can’t find it.

I set ALL three calendars to Event Source. I double checked the timezone on Google and it is correct (Central USA/Chicago/-6 UTC). I checked it on WordPress. It was set to -5 UTC because of Daylight Saving Time which ended Nov. 1. I changed it to Chicago so now it should change automatically. So, that was one problem (mine) solved.

This fixed the New Year’s Day problem, I think. New Year’s Day now appears on Jan. 1.

Now, in looking at the calendar a little closer, I see a global problem. All of my event times in the _pop-ups_ when I hover over an event are showing in UTC. Just as one example, but you’ll be able to see it in all dates, go to Dec. 23rd on my calendar. The last event is a park commission meeting. The meeting in Google (and in fact) is on the 23rd from 7-8pm CST. The pop-up is showing the time is 1-2am on the 24th! This is the UTC time, not CST.

Also, there is an event concerning a women’s Bible study group on Dec. 30. It, too, is in UTC on the pop-up; the problem is, it does not exist at all in the Google calendar. There were meetings of this group in Oct and Nov and one scheduled for Dec 14 but Google calendar does not show this one that appears on the 29th or 30th of Dec.

Ok thank you for the extra information. I will be looking into this to see what might be the cause. I will keep you posted.

    Thanks!

Please update to 3.0.9 as some of these issues have been worked on. If you are still having any issues please open a new thread with what the issue is.

    Thanks!

I hard-coded calendar changes in Google to “force” WP Calendar to work. Though I’ve had the latest version of WP Calendar, I haven’t “uncoded” the Google calendar. I will test out the new version as new all-day events occur.

    Changes worked for me.
2 day events are now shown as they should be. Thanks for the bugfix ??
