2 Column, each with different media

I have a question and I’m not sure if it’s a hack or a plugin issue. First off I’m a ‘copy and paste’ developer, so I can’t really write my own code.

My problem is I’m setting up a blog with two columns, on the left is all they copy and on the right hand column video, photos and audio only.

Where do I start, is it a plugin, is it a hack, is it a dublicate of the sidebar(I’m already using the current sidebar for other content)?
