2 blogs w/diff URLs, same host, same login account?

  • Hi there,

    I have searched high and low but cannot find a clear answer to my question about installing more than one blog. Here’s hoping you can help…

    I have one business site for my studio up and running fine with 2.9.1 under it’s own URL. I have a second business, with a totally different URL, that I want to bring over to WP also. (I was using zencart but no longer want the ecommerce look. I need more design flexibility) I use the same host for both but they each have their own database with separate copies of WP installed.

    So, my questions are:
    1- Do I need a different WP account to run a separate blog under it’s own URL?
    2- If not, how in the world do I set up the second blog? I do not have the techie skills for WP-MU and I do NOT want to run a jillion blogs from the same URL.

    I would appreciate any help to clarify because surely I’m not the only one out there that’s ever wanted to do this…!

    you will need to have a 2nd install of wordpress for the 2nd url

    Yes, I’ve already done that. Sorry if it wasn’t clear enough. Now I need to know if I need a second separate account to run a different blog that is unrelated and unconnected to my other blog in any way.

    And if I do not need a separate account, how do I set up a second blog for this separate URL?
