2 blogs 1 account

I was wondering if anybody has tried this before.

I want to have two seperate blogs on the same domain (one on root and the other sub) but I only want one log in for both.

Without too much detail of what I’m doing exactly, basically one is public where anybody with an account can post and the other is where only select memebers can.

I say two blogs because all I want to interact between the two is users accounts as they will both provide a different service.

If anybody has an idea or needs futher clarification as to what I mean then please respond.
