2.8.2. update put my site down :(

The automatic 2.8.2 update put my site down with a 500 server error. Users were unabled to access the site for several hours. I had to restore site from backup and disable automatic update. By this time version 8.2.3 was released, which seems to have fixed the problem with the missing file. But an unpleasant residue remained…
