2.3.3 Upgrade problem with Gutenberg

    Hi,

    I’m using three plugins: YASR, Popup Maker and Sportspress.

    I upgraded YASR from 2.3.2 to 2.3.3 and now get the error, “Failed to initialize plugin: sp_shortcodes_button” when I try to modify a Popup in Popup Maker. (sp_shortcodes-button is a Sportspress plugin).

    The error disappears when I roll back to version 2.3.2. The error also disappears if I keep 2.3.3 and switch to Classic Editor instead of Gutenberg.

    Any ideas?

    Hi Pilam!

    I also have that error even with YASR disabled, so i can exclude a conflict with YASR.

    Further, that error appear even when the shortcode is not in the post, so it is something wired with that plugin.

    I suggest to ask to their support.

    Hi @dudo ,

    Thanks for getting back so promptly. I’d already opened a ticket at Sportspress and the suggestion was to check here as the error only occurs when I’m using YASR 2.3.3. But I do now notice that it appears even when the shortcode is not in the post, which is somewhat bizzare.

    I’ve gone back to Sportpress with your feedback so we’ll see where it goes from here. In the meantime, is there anything you can think of off the top of your head which changed between 2.3.2 and 2.3.3 which might give a pointer?

    Hi,

    as I said, this error appear to me even with YASR disabled, so I think in your case is something related with the cache.
    You can try to open your browser in an incognito window, and the try to disable YASR: you will see the error with sportpress ??
